How you can contribute

There are three different ways in which you can actively participate in Practice Reflexions, these are by submitting for publication a refereed article or a non-refereed article or contributing to the discussion list.

For those wanting to write an article to be published in the e-journal the following references are available:
Refereed articles will be considered for publication anonymously by two reviewers according to the following criteria:

An article should:
  •   demonstrate adequate scholarship in its area
  •   align with the vision statement of Practice Reflexions
  •   have an argument and present it clearly
  •   consist of more than textual exposition or textual commentary, unless compelling reasons are provided.
In addition articles may be recommended by referees because they:
  •   present original work, for example inform readers of previously unpublished material or open up new areas of inquiry
  •   contribute to a significant debate
  •   contribute to a particular theme for which material has been sought.

Non-refereed articles will be considered for publication by the editorial board according to the following criteria:

  •  align with the vision statement of Practice Reflexions and
  •  contribute to an ongoing debate in human services and/or
  •  contribute to current knowledge in the field of practice and/or
  •  use case studies to demonstrate the use of best practice or innovative approaches to practice.
Alternatively you may want to make a contribution to the discussion list, either commenting on an ongoing discussion or initiating a discussion of issues you have encountered in practice. This may be the first stage of composing an article you later submit for publication in the e-journal.
