Founded in 1969, the Australian Community Workers Association is the recognised professional body for welfare and community workers in Australia. We represent  the interests of welfare and community workers employed within government departments, non-government social welfare agencies, self help groups, social, commercial and industrial enterprises.

Staff in our National Office are employed in areas including customer service, assessments, marketing, finance and management. We promote a diverse workforce, with a range of age groups, backgrounds and skills aimed at fostering a dynamic and inclusive workplace.

National Strategy Consultant - ACWA Education Committee

ACWA is undertaking a limited Expression of Interest for recruitment of a National Strategy Consultant for its Education Committee. ACWA's Education Committee comprises Educators and Practioners from both VET and Higher Education Sectors across Australia.

The National Strategy Consultant will play a major role in influencing projects undertaken by the Education Committee and providing critical advice on sectorial changes at both State and National level. The Consultant will assist in identifying any potential revenue opportunities via funding projects and help grow ACWA's network via various education providers and relevant government departments and regulatory authorities.
