Human Rights Symposium

This one-day symposium focuses on working with children and young people who have been abused. This day is for all professionals who are interested in utilising a human rights framework in their working relationships with children and young people.

Participants will learn how to support those who have been abused through practices using a rights lens.

The symposium will focus on:
  • Exploring child protection and therapy within the colonial history of Australia.
  • Child protection field work as a rights-based practise.
  • Epistemological contribution of children and young people in out of home care.
  • Emancipation therapy with children and young people.
