National Suicide Prevention Conference 2018 (including pre-conference workshops)

23–27 July 2018, SA

The National Suicide Prevention Conference provides a platform for the exchange of ideas to help achieve the agenda of a downward trajectory of suicides in Australia. This year the focus will be on quality: in research, policy, practice, lived experience and the collaborations between these disciplines. The Conference provides ample opportunity for professionals in the suicide prevention and health promotion fields to develop skills for on-the-ground practice, network with colleagues and learn from recent research.

Key elements of the conference
  • Plenary sessions showcasing the best work from around the globe and in Australia.
  • Recognising the importance of the voice of lived experience, the program will have strong representation from people with a lived experience of suicide.
  • Abstract presentations highlighting the intersection of research, policy, practice and lived experience.
  • LiFE Awards ceremony
  • In-depth workshops alongside the conference
  • Members’ forum
  • Engagement with and for PHNs
