Managing Workplace Grief and Loss Program

This ACWA endorsed CPD activity is conducted by Karuna Hospice Service.

This program has been designed by Karuna to support community workers dealing with workplace grief and loss (namely the death of their clients). The program provides evidence-based strategies at the individual, team and management levels.

The program is delivered via a mixed mode with content delivered both online as well as a three-hour face-to-face training session.

The learning outcomes include:
  • Greater knowledge of the latest grief and loss theory
  • Increased awareness of workplace grief and loss
  • Greater understanding of the impact of workplace grief and loss
  • Increased knowledge of the relationship between workplace grief and loss, burnout and mental health conditions
  • Greater knowledge of evidence-based interventions that support staff at an individual, team and management level

The cost of attending a public session is $99 pp including GST. Funds raised through this program support Karuna’s palliative care service.

Workplace delivery
If you are interested in booking a session at your workplace, please email corporate@karuna.org.au to discuss costs, availability etc. Sessions can be delivered intrastate and interstate, additional travel and accommodation costs apply.

This is an ACWA endorsed CPD activity. Members can claim CPD hours for their participation.
