This 2 hour workshop presentation is designed for organisations seeking training for their employees and can be tailored to meet organisational needs. This workshop explores asking the identifying question, which could be: Do you identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander origin, or do you or your family identify as being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander?

The workshop covers topics such as why do we ask the identifying question, what makes it so hard to ask, when can we ask, how to ask and how not to respond.

Course Objectives

By the end of this activity, participants will be able to:

• increase understanding of why organisations must ‘ask the question’
• increase asking the question across organisation
• reflect upon their own practices
